The pendulum swing between being so loving that we do not speak of obedience to God, or so obedient to God’s holiness that we do not show God’s love for sinners, is tricky to balance. The call of Ephesians 4:15 to speak the truth in love helps us to think of how each part connects and balances the other. In 2nd Corinthians we have three passages that call for them to test their love and obedience. How well do you do with these types of tests?
