A good bridge …while a bad bridge… This was part of our discussion this week as we looked at Matthew 9:9-13 and the calling of Matthew with the dinner to follow. Matthew invites his friends from work to meet with Jesus and Jesus invites the disciples to meet with Matthew’s fellow tax collectors. In this passage we can learn to be a bridge for people to access Jesus as we become the place where “sinners” meet “saints” and the other way around. I asked us to consider the people that were a bridge in our lives helping us to come to Jesus as we invite others to trust us as they come to know Jesus for themselves. Who is Jesus trying to reach for the kingdom through you? Thankyou for being in God’s word together.
