How did they not see that! Do you watch reality shows like Amazing Race or Survivor and wonder how the contestants can walk past the flag or idol and not see it? Do you wonder how people miss the things that are right in front of them and then you find yourself missing the obvious…because you just do not see it! Learning to be observant of who God is and what he is doing in the world around us and within our lives helps us to be HOPEFUL people. Pairing the trait of being observant with the trait of being obedient to God and His word helps us to have hope even when things seem hopeless. Today we looked at the seemingly hopeless situation of Acts 27 and the shipwreck and the passage from 2 Kings 6 with Elisha and the servant “having his eyes opened” so that he could see what God was able to do.
