Experience is a wonderful, powerful, and sometimes unwanted teacher. We learn things about ourselves, life, and faith through experience and some people begin their connection to God because of experience. In today’s sermon we looked at the experiences recorded in the books of Hosea and Ruth. Hosea was a prophet of God who comes to know God in a whole new way as he is called by God to live his family life as an object lesson. Ruth come to know God through the shared experiences of Naomi her mother-in-law. How have your experiences led you to seeking God and who do you know that is seeking God who may be starting from their own experiences? Thank you for being in God’s word together.
